Carnival is basically a retooled Electric Funeral with a cool solo, but otherwise I like the heaviness on this one. Beastmaker is never subtle, and there’s no wasted time.
Favorite track: Spread Your Wings.
Don't overlook this album like I did at first! The lyrics are insightful and uplifting, maybe a bit too spacey at times for me. But I still can't stop replaying it. The vocals are surely mystical, and the guitar work is wholesome, no wankery here! My runner up favorites are Defender and Clarion. If this shit hit the radio, I might actually turn it on sometime. Thanks for another banger, keep it true!! \m/ pseudopaean
"Curse These Metal Hands" parlays the UK bands' chemistry into a record which—for all its tinnitus-inducing ferocity and elegiac arrangements—practically drips with transcendent joy. Bandcamp Album of the Day Aug 19, 2019
